Bob Marley Bash Press Conference

January 11th-12th, 2013

On Friday January 11th, Push Cart on the majestic cliffs of Negril's West End hosted the press conference for the 21st Annual Bob Marley Birthday Bash! Today's Negril Today shows the event's creator Kubba Pringle outlining the shows being held for this 4 day event - February 3rd to the 6th. On the 3rd, the event kicks off at 2pm at the Negril Beach Park with the Foundations Family Day Party featuring Black Blunt and Blacc Wido with DJs Bones, Kwaku, Jah Wayne and Glamma Wayne! The 4th will be Culture Night at MXIII - the Rastafari Nyiahbhingi Presentation! Hosted by Elder Iyah V of the Rastafari Millennium Council. The burning bonfire will set the scene for Ras Tebah and the The Sons of Thunder from Montego Bay, African Descendant Drummers, Caribbean Flava Steel Band, Roaring River Drummers, Nyiahbhingi Chanters, and the Hot Steppa Cultural Group. Visitors are invited to bring their own drum and join in this extravaganza! Tuesday the 5th at MXIII will be Tribute Night featuring Droop Lion, Robin Banks, Karbel, Tonya P, Ali C, with Raging Fyah's first performance in Negril and the one and only Messenger - Luciano! And the Bash concludes with the King of Reggae's Earthday Celebration featuring a reunion of many members of Bob Marley's Band - the Wailers. The Honorable Bunny Wailer, Marcia Griffiths, Judy Mowatt will be performing with Wailer guitarist Junior Marvin - his first performance in Jamaica since 1991! This 4 day event is one not to miss!
