Negril's West End road or "One Love Drive" has been undergoing a facelift with the help of art students from the Edna Manley School of Art which is Jamaica's premier art school. The project is part of plans by the Negril West End Cluster (and funded by the government of Jamaica and the European Union) to promote Negril and boost its West End in particular. The aim is to support and aid all types of businesses along the West End and make the area a premier Jamaican attraction and resort area. The design and painting of shop fronts is just the beginning with plans on the way to add much needed sidewalks and to ultimately create a festival atmosphere with the best shopping , arts, music, restaurants and all things authentically Jamaican.
