Taste of Jamaica - Red Stripe Beer!

During the end of the year holiday season, and the rest of the year for that matter, the taste of Jamaica is the world famous Red Stripe Lager Beer! Over the decades, the bottles have changed shape from the long necks in the 60's to the now unique "stubby" bottles to the new canned Red Stripe! And Red Stripe is now becoming more available in the tasty draft form as shown above in the Negril Today photo! It is still costly to set up the draft units that are maintained by D&G, the brewers of Red Stripe so most bars serve Red Stripe only in bottles. Currently only Red Stripe Beer is available in draft, but with Heineken now owning D&G, look for changes coming in the future! Cheers!
