OK....OK........mi had some time....and mi finally read dat number #5 of da top discussions and #6 Lurker
boy dat was a long thread mon......mi head hurting after all dat reading.......think mi need a appleton and coke....
dat was fun...you boardies certainly gave mi some good laughs .......and mi thank you all for your kindness...

mi will say dat when mi see a controversional or what mi think might be a negative thread, mi usually avoid it........
mi didn't even lurk dat thread... dat it's a very, very old subject on da board....and mi been on since '97
also during dat thread mi was emailed by many boardies and tipped off to what was going on.....and mi thank you...
mi didn't fret though...mi didn't mind dat conversation.....
not mi place to make waves on da board......it's an open forum and thank goodness for freedom of speech
and mi glad dat Bill understood the answer to his question as him said was:
Jamaicans aren't offended by non-Jamaicans attempting to write patois, and are more likely to be amused by it.
and mi will say this in closing......
if you think mi friends, boardies and mi ex Jamaican wife(wi lived here and down der) are amused or confused by mi writing.....
you should hear mi try to speak "Patios".....dem laugh at mi so hard......
and even some of you have heard mi live on RealNegril.com down der......LMAO.....
it's all good......maybe mi get it right dis new year....lol

Jenny, sounds like a great idea. If we plan ahead of time we may be able to pull it off. Maybe we can even get Garzan and Alexandra (with family of course)to make the trip. I would LOVE to get my hands on that likkle Bella. I imagine that Brenjalee and Yamangirl would be up for it and we may be able to get that Dreadneck guy too.

Fantastic, guys! I have my fingers crossed that this photo shoot will be a go so that we can come out there! I believe that the shoot itself will be on Sunday, March 16th. I'll "lean" on Don to try to find out about this. I haven't been in LA for YEARS, last time, I believe, was the summer of 1993 right before I moved back to Arkansas. I almost took a job in a suburb of LA, it was right on the coast. I really miss those ocean waves & warm breezes. . .

I found the thread, it has 56 posts in it and drew 1,498 views.

Yes, and you're right about BrenJahLee & Yamangurl, they do live there. It was a year ago this coming week, just after New Year's, when my mom & I went with them to Rockland's Bird Sanctuary & rafting on the Martha Brae River. Here's a great little guy that we also saw at Rockland's!!:

Those are the type of threads we need to put into a "Favorite's thread".
The best threads did not necessarily have the highest views, but no doubt they had plenty. The viewcounts can help me assemble a longer list of popular posts. Perhaps with such a list, it would be possible for people to select groups of their favorites and then vote on them. The resulting posts could then be linked and made more easily accessible.

Nope, not mine. I just added captions to the picture from the original thread. The photo had the look of one of those "internet photos" that get spread everywhere. There was some original point to it, but it got lost somewhere along the line.
