more info: Man confesses to killing German woman and Jamaican companion Investigators probing the murder of a German woman and her Jamaican companion have linked their deaths to a love triangle. The bodies of real estate agent 43-year-old Claudia Liedl-Letts and 34-year-old electrician, Clive Donaldson of White Hall Housing Scheme were discovered Thursday afternoon in Westmoreland. A man, who is in hospital under police guard, has reportedly confessed to the killings. Their partially nude bodies riddled with multiple chop and stab wounds were found nearly 100 feet over a precipice where the police believe were it not for the confession they might not have been discovered. The police say the man in custody is the ex-boyfriend of the deceased woman, he and friends reportedly kidnapped the couple on Tuesday afternoon, illed them and dumped their bodies. They made off with the couple’s car. However early Wednesday morning while traveling in the car on a Montego Bay street, the car collided with an armed security vehicle and a shoot out ensued shortly after. The ex-boyfriend was injured during the melee and was apprehended by the police while his alleged cronies escaped. Since being hospitalized under police guard he has reportedly confessed to the killings. The bodies were discovered shortly after police say he will be charged by this weekend. "where there is life, there is hope" Luciano

| This is so tragic thank you for the update Sista Irie hope the other guys are caught and they get what they deserve along with the ex. No one deserves to be killed the way Claudia and Clive were. Also you said some things earlier in a post that are well said we all need to be aware of who we know or who wants to know us. Respect! Also may Claudia and Clive rest in peace. Amen! |

everybody also needs to remember this heinous stuff happens here as well, more often to more people. I lived across the street at Florida State University when Ted Bundy murdered those sorority girls. Pretty scary. Women go missing all the time, and they don't find a lot of them. There has been a mother missing from the next town over from me, (plainfield IL), since May, and the authorities haven't found her. (they think its the husband) big surprise. Because it usually is. I will continue to pray for Claudia and her boyfriend and their families. enjoy yourself...it's later than you think...

My God/Jah/whatever anyone calls him/her, is a LOVING entity who intentionally created us as humans with free choice. Knowing that we will make errors in judgement, whatever the reason(s), that entity continues to embrace us and send love to us. I won't presume to "walk in anothers" shoes. We're not meant to nor will we truly know what's in the minds/hearts of others; so, therefore can't/shouldn't make judgement calls. Ten different people will read the same story and have ten different versions. Don't mean to become "preachy" -- just trust my friend Claudia (neva met Clive) will be remembered with love and not become yet another senseless victim. Isn't there another Commandment - Thou SHALT NOT kill!} |

what about more important than that "thou shalt not kill" Adultery is not morally correct but for sure murder isn't the way to handle it as far as I believe..... there is no way to justify taking a life for any reason aside from having to defend your own or your family's just my opinion |

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish, and the tyranny of evil men. BLESSED IS HE, who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness for he is truly his brothers keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down on thee with greath vengeance and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers, and you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee" ~ be happy ~

Marriage is a piece of paper that I believe can often be nothing more than a possession trip. Probably originally instituted to keep track of peoples assets 100's of years ago....as far back as time most relationships seemed to not last forever. Taxation and control was more assured when two parties divulged their mutual assets in an effort to individually seize them. Obviously with soc sc #'s and zero privacy anymore...........and through the complete disintegration of individuality via computerisation...it now means very little in this regard. Jealousy of this magnitude by a sociopath can be fatal. Here's a rule I recommend: Never practice two vices at once

Just a quick note about this... I haven't been online in 13 weeks but want to say that what happened to Claudia and Clive is a shame and a sin. I lived in her house for 8 months and knew Claudia, the ex who murdered them, the current boyfriend Clive, and the history. I see it not as a love triangle at all, but as a case of abuse, domestic violence against the woman and her new man. It's murder, it's unjustified. I see it as a case of, "if I can't have her, no one can". It's sick. And I mourn for her. And her mother. God Bless us all... RB$ http://www.myspace.com/missrobinbanks

Adultery??? Did I miss something. I don't believe Claudia was ever married to her murderer. People may not remember exactly what you did, or what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel.

Thank you, Robin, for posting this. People seem to have lost touch w/ the horror & reality of what happened to Claudia & Clive. Lots of misinformation has derailed the sadness & senselessness of Claudia's ex's actions. There is no justification for murder, period. I've been in daily contact w/ a close friend of both Claudia & Clive since this was first posted on the board & he is dismayed that people who don't know either would talk about adultry & love triangles. Neither applies. I don't know anything about Clive beating up the ex but, considering what I do know, I can understand why. Out of context, it gives a misrepresentation of the situation. This is a sad & horrible event. My thoughts & prayers are w/ their families & friends. |

Big Up to Robin mi friend for telling it like it is. I too have heard justification and it making me sick. I don't claim to know everything but what I do know is Jamaica was a better place because of Claudia. No excuse for this or any other killing. I pray for peace & safety for all my girl friends living in Jamaica.

Just to clarify, what I posted was an article out of the paper. As we all know news articles are not always completely factual, but that was what was available at the time. "where there is life, there is hope" Luciano

Better be careful folks, because someone might be getting the blame for something he didn't do! Ex boyfriend in custody, ex-husband out of the picture, current boyfriend rests now with Claudia. Adultery, love triangle, doesn't apply. Violence unjustified. Selina in Negril!

Thanks Selina for clarifying this. I knew I was talking about the ex-boyfriend but others would not know & could make assumptions. I guess it's because I refer to my long time ex-boyfriend as my ex. The ex-husband is just that, ex-husband. Semantics. I appreciate your clarification. |

| The only ones who truly know what or what didn't take place are no longer here to share their truths. What started out as utter shock, concern and then a sad acceptance of the fate Claudia and Clive met, seems to have become an opp for some to pass judgement and discuss the past as they seem to remember it ...... Many thanks to my SISTAS for having the courage to share their knowledge and/or personal experiences for the safety and "sweetness" of us all. |
