Heading to Negril on Tuesday, and bringing our boards- wondering if anywhere rents them, we didn't see any on our last visit and have friends interested in renting some.

I have never seen them for rent or even being used in Negril.

Me neither, but its seems like the perfect place for them. Can't wait to paddle up and down that 7 mile beach! Maybe I'll start something new?

oh MAN that looks like fun... what a great invention. i learned to surf on the old longboards, soooooooo much fun. i'd love to try this

but i've never seen them in negril either, it's calm water, no waves to ride.

ah, ok, just found this old thread. there's 2 links in there with JA surfing info - !
(eta: AND a heartbreaking video of the beach ... WAAAAhhhhhh, oh that's just wrong, LMAO!)

Thanks for the info, it looks like the SUP hasn't caught on there yet. Who knows, maybe I'll just sell them to someone there who wants to start a new business (my sis is the Huluakai distributor, so I can always get another one)If you happen to be at the beach and see us, wave us down and you can try it!

Nice, thanks for sharing! !! Did you bring your board down, or rent one there? If you brought it down, did you have any transport issues?
Thanks for the info!

How long is it? Mine is 12' and Delta quoted me $200 a board since it's over length. I fly alot, so have Diamond medalion status so dont pay to check bags, but thats what they said. Guess I'll find out once I get to the counter.
