When I got my ticket the other day I thought the tax breakdown was interesting. I have never really questioned anything just bought the tickets. I have always used a charter in the past and this is the first time I booked directly through the airlines. This is how it was broke down. BTW I only paid $591.04 for 2 roundtrip tickets for Feb 8-15 2010...MAN the price was GREAT I think!! Thanks St.Louis Sally for the heads-up

I wonder what the tourism enhancement fee goes towards? That is interesting--I usually just pay for the ticket as well--without much regard to the exact breakdown.

All of which you pay when you turn in your frequent flyer miles for a free ticket....so your free ticket isn't really worth much is it?

I'm not really sure what you mean?
I pay only taxes for my frequent flyer ticket, at about $110.00 a piece. The ticket is worth around $1100.00 a piece. Now, the miles I use to get this ticket are earned through an entire year of mostly business travel (that I have to do anyway) and purchases on my credit card (that I have to make anyway, and includes purchases for those airplane tickets)!
So no, there's no such thing as a free lunch, that's for sure - but essentially I'm getting an $1100.00 ticket for $100.00. Pretty darn good I think!

We use airmiles for two tickets.....fee $60 bucks each...so 2 tickets at $550 each...$1100 for $120....not a bad deal...since I am traveling anyway all year.

The rate is perfect no matter how you break it down BUT traveling through the week is rough for me with limited vacation time. I wish that 2/7 departure with Funjet was cheaper. Weekend to weekend just works better for me.

Hi the last time semi(and crew) used there frequent flyer miles we payed $124.00 for the two of us round trip from Kzoo Michigan,while when using those miles they fly you all over the country its not a bad price to pay for the two of us!
Non stop this reach,more than $120.00 lol
