Any input to any of these resorts? Have been to Ja just not to Negril and Am hoping to get there in Feb . Looking for all inclusive that won't break the bank. I think it fits the bill NOT sure however. Who has been and which one did you stay at. Anyone out there with recent pic of any of the 3 resorts would be helpful. Have scoured the internet and and now just hoping for some 'real people input' dont need nor want 'fancy' just want Negril thank you all for any help/advice you can give Appreciate it much |

| We have stayed at Merrils II and would go back again depending on price and situation. The rooms were basic but nice, staff was friendly, location is good. We thought the food was so-so, no complaints but no raves either. Typically ate breakfast there. May or may not have eaten or skipped lunch. We would check out the dinner buffet and frequently ate out somewhere partly to experience local Jamaican food, partially because the buffet didn't appeal. Drinks were local only. |

mi have stayed at I and II and depending on da price mi would stay der again......... mi paid $70/night solo when mi stayed der....... best location on da beach, you have use of the other Merrils...... dem have blender drinks and draft beer in little plastic cups......so bring your own large mugs/cups...... the only drawback was da food which was very bland cause of no spices and not much of a variety either..... but at their inexpensive rates you usually can afford to eat out a few times too....... everything else with Merrill's like the rooms, A/C and house maids was fine..... if you don't have high expectations and you don't mind being with a bunch of Europeans......you'll like the place II is by far the nicest and the newest out of the three........ We stayed at Merrills II last Dec. & really enjoyed it. We would stay there again if the price is right. The food as okay, always found something to eat. The beach is great there. And you can walk to several good places to eat from there. You might also check prices for Grand Pineapple on Orbtiz & use promo code for a good discount!! "Getting Old Ain't For Sissys!!" I've been to II and liked it. Food was good, close to all the action and the room was nice. Here are some pictures.

I have stayed at Merrills II a couple of times. Great place for the price. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly. The food is okay, although not always spectacular. But, it is good value. The best jerk pork I've eaten was at Merrils, but I often leave the property to explore elsewhere. I think next time I will stay at Merrils I as the grounds are more lush and the rooms seemed comparable when I toured it.
