When I first booked my hotel with Orbitz I did it for Dec. 1st to 14th. I payed about 50 per night all inclusive! Flight was more difficult and could not get anything less than 650 for Dec. 1st. So I go it for Dec. 2nd and lost a day in my payed room. Now I want to be at the Dec. 1st show at Negril Escape! I called AA and to change the day will they want to charge me 120 dollars!! I payed 539 and got a 100 dollar aa discount card so I only payed 439, which is the most I have ever payed by 100 dollars!
So you think is worth it 120 dollars for a full day extra!!
ps remember I am at an all inclusive!
ps2 i am getting a bit excited I almost started packing!!
ps3 i still get to bring 2 free bags even if I change my date!

I know Lisa, I actually did it as soon as I heard 120, I thought I could drink that in an open bar no problem, but I will really need a bodyguard if i plan to drink that at GP before I get to Negril Escape! Any takers!! ;)

Something similar happened to me a year ago. Got to Sangster and found out O'Hare in Chicago was closed due to snow, so I said book me for tomorrow. It was an indirect flight and I'd have to spend the night in Charlotte NC-book me for tomorrow. Called Clives and they were still there and said come on back to Arrivals. Hit the bus and on the way called my hotel and told them to save me a room 'cause I'm coming home! Well worth it. Went to a great b-day party up in the hills by Prospect. About 15 of us rented a bus to get there. Priceless.

ps4 - some venues would charge you 120 just for your concert ticket!
... just something else to take into consideration. it's a personal choice, we can't tell you if a day is worth a hundred and twenty bucks. but i'm here to remind you that the low cost of the concert should be a factor when deciding if 120 is too much for a day. :-) |

OK, let's look at this another way.
If you stay from Dec 1 - 14 that's 13 nights. $120 spread out over 13 nights is ONLY $9.23/night. That's only $9.23/night more than you're currently paying which according to you is only $50. Now, I KNOW that you can drink at least $9.23 worth of alcohol a day so that means it's pretty much a wash right? In fact... I have no doubt that you won't have to make too great an effort to drink the whole $59.23 worth of alcohol a day.

you know it is totally worth it! you get the show, the extra day--the extra food and drink (you can eat and drink that amount at your AI)! Heck I do it all the time at the end of my trip--not ready to leave, I have paid between 100 and 150 in change flight fees on at least 3 trips before to stay longer...

LOL, glad I could entertain. It just comes down to logic right? Ha Ha I always tell everyone I know in college to take a logic class, it will help in your daily life (personal and business) more than anything else.

Bren thanks for putting in perspective I really dont need much convincin as you all know I am a bit impulsive!!
I am waiting for Mon or Tues for prices to go back to normal I will change if its no more than 150 and can get to Ja early. As of now the only flight they say its available is the one getting in at 830 so wont be in to negril until 11 pm and that is very late!! I could stand by since my San Juan Miami flight gets in at 9 am there will be two earlier flights.
We will see what happens!! I am starting my last 30 day fidget, only 30 days to go!!

ok I went for it!!
I am so excited I got my ticket changed for the 1st!!! Only 120!!! getting there at 2:30 pm so with enough time to go to the Concert at Negril Escape!! Anybody going who will like to join me!!
