Preparations being made for the sixth annual Reggae Marathon were taking place yesterday ahead of the race which takes place on Saturday December 2. Hundreds of race participants have already registered with many more expected. The Reggae Marathon organisers expect the largest number of entrants this year. Major electrical work along the route were also underway to facilitate the live reggae bands that play during the marathon. In addition to the bands there are also numerous car sound systems playing reggae music ensuring that the athletes get musical motivation for what is a world class certified marathon race of 26 miles. The race takes place between Negril and Green Island. Also pictured above are last years winner and a participant reaching the 13 mile mark in Orange Bay.
