Kenric Davis is a great contributor to the Negril Community.

Kenric Davis is one of those people behind the scenes who help the Negril Community on many levels. He was president of the Negril Chamber of Commerce for two terms and a former Chairman of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (Negril Chapter).  Mr. Davis is presently a director of Negril.com, a director of Negril Educational & Environmental Trust, a First Vice President of the Negril Coral Reef Preservation Society, and is Chairman of the Negril Area Environmental Trust.

Mr. Davis comes from Ocho Rios on the North Coast of Jamaica and worked in Kingston before coming to Negril  in 1991 as manager of Point Village Resort. He left after a year but returned in 1995 as Manager of Sunshine Village, a position he still holds today.

When asked why he has stayed in Negril, Mr Davis said he liked Negril’s laid back style and the fact that the community is pro- active in many ways. This pro-active attitude has given him the opportunity to give back to the community on environmental, educational and economic levels.
